We are absolutely thrilled to have received award recognition for our dedication to customer service at The Cornwall Business Awards 2019.
The awards, coordinated by the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Growth and Skills Hub took place on Thursday, June 27 at the St Mellion International Resort. The 15 different award categories put the spotlight on the diverse, innovative and talented Cornish business community across Cornwall.
Each award winner was selected from the finalists by a panel of judges from the local business community after finalists attended the ‘Showdown Day’ and we had to ‘pitch’ about our business and why we think we should win the award.
We were among 3 finalists in the ‘Best Customer Service’ Award sponsored by St Austell Brewery, were delighted to be announced as the award winners on the evening.
Category judge, Jeremy Mitchell from St Austell Brewery said “The team at Blue Flame really do put customers at the centre of what they do and are willing to go above and beyond what is expected of them.”
“What really impressed the judges was that Blue Flame are also looking to the future so that in a few years’ time they will be able to anticipate and head off problems in equipment before the customer even knows”
The evening also included a talk from gold medal-winning British Olympian and proud Cornish woman Helen Glover, who also presented the trophies to all winners.
Our Operations Director, Mark Bolitho, who set up the business with fellow director, Paul Smith in 1988 said “We are absolutely delighted to win this award. Customer service is a total team effort and has been so important to us over the 31 years of Blue Flame. This really is a testament to the dedication of all of our staff who really believe in excellent customer service”
